Article XVI

During NEW BUSINESS – The commander says, “Is there any
new business to come before the meeting?”
Communications and motions calling for action by the
organization may then be presented from the general
membership for necessary action taken. It will be the chair’s
responsibility to determine if the motion can be acted on at
that time as routine general business or be sent to a designated
committee for review and recommendations, if sent to
committee the recommendations are to be brought to the
executive committee and then general membership for final
disposition within a specified time. Once a recommendation is
ready for disposition, it will placed on the agendas of both the
executives and general membership meetings for awareness
and comments prior to the general meeting that the
recommendations will be voted on.
