Thomas Ingram, NC Division III Commander

I am retired from the U.S. Army with 33 years of service, which includes 20 years of airborne service in the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C. Other duties include Drill Sergeant, Fort Jackson S.C.; Post Sergeant Major of Yakama Firing Center, Washington State; Sergeant Major of Readiness Group Sheridan, Fort Sheridan Il., and I served in Panama. I achieved the rank of Sergeant Major. I have been deployed into three different countries in a combat situation, (Dominican Republic) (Vietnam) (Grenada) and served in many training situations. In my years of training and experience, the utmost was taking care of the welfare of troops, being a First Sergeant of an Infantry Company in combat was one of my best teachers. My duties with Military have been from rifleman to Sergeant Major, I have held every position.

Awards Combat Infantryman Badge/Master Parachutist Badge /Drill Sergeant Badge/Legion of Merit/ Bronze Star Medal/ Meritorious Services Medal/Good Conduct Medal (10 awards).
I’ve been a member of Pine Level Post 405 since 2009. I was Post Commander from 2012 to 2015, and have served as District Vice Commander 2016 to 2017, as well as District Commander of District 11. Now serving as Division III Commander.

I was born and raised in Four Oaks N.C. and went to school in Four Oaks. After retiring from the military, I went to school at Elizabethtown, Ky., Community College for two years.
